This year is finally come to an end in just a few hours. Both of us can’t believe how much fun we’ve had this whole year. At the beginning of 2014, we’ve set a goal for our blog, that is to do lots of collaborations with lots of creative people. And we also want to connect more with Living Loving’s readers. That’s one reason why we started to create Living Loving Class and Afternoon Delight.
The first Afternoon Delight was held on March, where we invited some of our blogger friends and partners in an intimate gathering and got crafty together making paper flowers.
Then, we teamed up again with Amesh, Chia, and Lia from Workshop in A Box to create a big event: Etsy Craft Party! So far, that’s the biggest workshop that we’ve organized with 40 participants in one workshop.
Then of course there’s Play with Flowers where we join our friend Kitty Manu and Claradevi to make a heartwarming floral crown, hand bouquet, and simple corsage.
And by the last trimester of 2014, we’ve managed to grabbed an opportunity to collaborate with two of our dream tutors: Ayang Cempaka & Dita Wistarini. Ayang with her gouache painting workshop, and Ditut with a food styling and photography class. Both event was held at Pipiltin Cocoa.
Besides workshops, in the middle of the year we got a chance to be featured in Martha Stewart Living Indonesia magazine alongside with our friends and their daughter in a playdate party. It was so fun to see how creative and lovely these moms were, and the kids were having a good time too. Unfortunately, this magazine decided to end their publishing last November.
Our last event of this year is a small book club gathering called Cups & Pages. We created it together with our friends, Maesy Ang from The Dusty Sneakers and Dian Siradz from Kemala Home Living. We invite few of our friends and had an interesting conversation about books and other lovely things in life.
We’ve also added a new category for this year, called “life”. We wanted to share some thoughts and ideas about making the fullest of simple things in our daily life, like playing outside, having a laid-back picnic in a national park, or throw yourself a beachside getaway.
Thank you to our readers who supported us along the way. This has been a wonderful year for Living Loving. Unfortunately we have to end this year with a sad news of Air Asia QZ8501 accident. Our deepest condolences to all the victims and their family. As much as it broke our heart, it also reminds us to never forget to cherish what we already have. We wish that 2015 will be a better year, a year full of hope.
